My name is Dian Brookes, and I have the privilege of serving as one of the Deputy Principals at our wonderful kura. Devon has been a significant part of my life for many years – first as a student, then as the child of a teacher, and now as a teacher myself and a parent of past students.
Since beginning my teaching journey here in May 2008, I’ve been fortunate to contribute to the school in many different ways. Over the years, I’ve embraced various roles, from teaching Digital Technologies and leading a team to supporting debating teams, managing hockey, and, of course, working as a classroom teacher. These opportunities have allowed me to connect deeply with our tamariki and the wider Devon community.
I’m excited to continue growing as an educator and school leader alongside our incredible staff and students. Together, we strive to create a supportive, vibrant, and inspiring environment for all.
If you have any questions or would like to know more about how we can work together to support your tamariki through this important stage of their journey, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to partner with you in helping every child thrive both personally and academically.
Ngā mihi nui,
Mrs Dian Brookes
